Yeup ... We took a road trip to Utah for New Years. We invited my nephew Cody to join us and Lindsay was stoked to have him come with us. Beckham was soooooo good for the 11 hour car ride. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better kid. Lindsay drove 210 miles, then Cody drove for 210, and then it was my turn. The drive went quickly and before I knew it we were there ... Here's a few pics of the kids adventures so far.

3rd ANNUAL ALL DAY MOVIE DAY
I wasn't sure how this year was gonna happen with having Beckham, but it happened and I was sooooo glad it did. We started our morning at 9:45 am and Shari and I saw The Fighter with Mark Wahlberg. It was a really great movie. We both liked it alot. Next was True Grit and Gaylynn joined us for this one. I thought it was a lil slow, but I appreciated the acting and punch lines. Then it was time for lunch ... We went to my house so I could feed Beckham and make sure all was well with him.
We headed out to see How Do You Know with Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd next ... LAME LAME LAME movie. Probably one of the worst movies I've seen in a loooooong time. Last on the list was Burlesque :( Sadly, I didn't make it to this one because I was soooo tired and I needed to get home to pack for our Utah trip. The girls were OK with not going and we ended up back at my house, ate some din din and played a game of Scrabble. All in all ... A GREAT DAY with my Besties!

Lindsay got a J-O-B
Lindsay finally landed a job ... She's working at Out of the Park Pizza. She loves it. The owner and manager have really taken a liking to Linds and she's ended up getting some of the best shifts. I'm so happy she's a good worker and that they like her. Her only complaint : having to split tips, and she wore uggs to work and her feet killed her. My treat : they have Ms. Pac Man there and OH YEAH ... I have the top score!
Christmas
The above pictures are just a few I took of Lindsay opening some of her gifts. She really just wanted money and gift cards this year so she could do some shopping herself. She scored ... and also made out with a few extra perks (COACH purse, some boots, clothes, jewelry)
We went to my mom's house on Christmas Eve for dinner. It really was one of my favorite times we've all gotten together. We had dinner (which I managed to burn the potato soup :( and my chicken chili wasn't much of a hit either :( but it's OK). We sat around and played a game of Scrabble and Michelle brought a new card game that was pretty fun too.
On Christmas Day Lindsay went to her Dad's side of the family. She had a good time and of course, she scored again with more gift cards ... shop shop shop !!!! My mom, Beckham and I went to see Disney on Ice with my friend Gaylynn and her lil' girl Shelby. It was kinda cheesey, but it was nice to go and feel the holiday spirit.

a visit with Santa
Standing in line to see Santa.
So, I completely forgot that kids need pictures with Santa. I mean Lindsay hasn't been to visit that old guy for years. All of a sudden I read a friends post on Facebook and realized "Oh man, I gotta do that". What kind of a mom would I be if Beckham didn't get to see or tell Santa what a good boy he's been and tell Santa all the things he lacks (hahahahaha). So, today we went to the North Pole for a visit. I'm not sure what Lindsay told the ol' man, but I'm pretty sure there won't be a new car with a red bow on it.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
B = Beckham's Bath Blitz
Beckham LOVES LOVES LOVES his bath. He thinks the world stands still for about 5 minutes while he gets to kick and splash. Me (being the goofy Mom that I am) decided to have a bath song while I bath him. It goes a lil' something like this :
"I love my bath ...
it is so great...
I love my bath ...
it's the perfect date"

SICKIE ... SLEEPY ... and CRANKY ...
The picture above shows Beckham feelin' so sick. He hasn't been awake more then an hour all day today. He's sooooo congested and coughing. His lil' voice is hoarse. I went to Target today and bought him a humidifier and it's been great. I hope he's back to himself soon because I miss his smile and his sweet lil
personality.
I went in to his room to check on him to find this ... My lil' guy fast asleep sucking his thumb.
Corey's work get together
We went out to dinner with Corey's "guys" to celebrate the Holiday and to have a chance to meet everyone. It was nice to put faces with names and voices. Now when I call Corey at work I actually know who I'm speaking to. He has a great group of "guys" and I enjoyed our night out with them.
Family night at Temple Square
We went to see all the lights at Temple Square as a family on Monday evening. It was my first time there in Utah during Christmas , so it was very special to me. Beckham was bundled up (because of course he felt like we were in the North Pole) but by the end of the night he was out of his cocoon and staring all around. Matthew enjoyed pushing him around in the stroller and pointing out all the things Grandpa helped build.
We decided to make it a tradition to visit each year and eat dinner at the Lyon's House. Beckham of course just eyeballed the food, and I tell you ... the rolls there were as big as his head!
Something about the Temple surrounded by beauty, lights, and the spirit of Christmas made this picture even that much more beautiful to me. I feel very blessed to have gotten the chance to visit and spend the evening as a family.
When we got home Corey and Beckham did a lil' dancing to some Christmas Music we had playing all week long. Daddy taught Beckham some cool moves, but he's more of an Elvis kinda dancer with his hips and his bum.
