LaZy Wednesday

I am so dog gone tired! The weather here has been a bit overcast and I'm ALWAYS cold, so I think this combination has just made me plain LaZy! So as I've been at work all day today I've been thinking about a few things ... my Bubba (which is one of those squishy microbead pillows),my blanket that Lindsay made me and tied the ends in knots, and my favorite grey Harvard sweatshirt. Then add ALL of the seasons of Friends and a tall glass of 1/2 cherry pepsi 1/2 diet pepsi and I'm in LaLa Land ... Who am I kidding, throw in a cookie with frosting and I'll be set!

A newborn's conversation with God ...

A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?' God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.'

The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.' God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.'

Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?' God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.'
'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?' God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'

'Who will protect me?' God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.'

'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.' God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.'

God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.'

A scarlett letter

I wasn't sure if I was going to Blog for a while or not. I've been on an emotional roller coaster the past few days. I'm pressing forward and doing the very best I can, but I can't help but feel like I wear a big scarlett letter on my chest each and every day. It's not a good feeling, it's not fun, and it certainly doesn't make me smile.

I know there is a road to travel on ... a process that must be taken when you know you have done something wrong. I am on my road , but carrying with me a tremendous amount of guilt and unsettled emotions. There is no room in my life for judgemental people. There is no room in my life for eyes to look down upon me or doubt what I am capable of doing.

One of my favorite pictures of the Lord is one with a verse that reads : I never said it would be easy ... I only said it would be worth it. We are all on our journey in this life and we all have crosses to bare and burdens we carry. My hope is that with each passing day the load gets a little lighter and the sun seems a little brighter.

There is a blessing that I have and one that means so much to me. I am going to find the joy in this journey XO ...

Valentines Day Box for Matthew

Remember back when you got to make a Valentines Day box or Heart to keep all of your Valentines cards in from your classmates ??? Well, Corey took this task very seriously for Matthew who is in the 1st Grade. Corey and Matthew went all out and decorated a box to look like Sully ( from Monsters Inc. ) Now ... Corey worked on this with Matthew and all I got to do was listen to how this project was going over the phone. I admit ... I wasn't sure how this box was gonna turn out, But when I saw the picture I was so proud of both of them. You're a great Daddy Corey and Matthew did an awesome job!

Lindsay's playing Varsity in CIF game Ü

My Lindsay is such a great soccer player. She's played soccer since she was 5 years old and I was such a lucky Mom to get to coach her for the first 5 years ... Then we reached a point where she just didn't listen to me any more and it was time to let her try a new team with new coaches. Well, she's always continued to play season after season and year after year. We've been thru AYSO, on a travel / non competitive team for fun, Club Teams, and High School Teams. I love nothing more then watching My Lindsay play soccer. She's sooooo good at her game and has a streak of determination that I get a glimpse of every now and then (sometimes it leads to a yellow card, but it's all good!)

Any whooooo ... Lindsay has been playing on her JV High School team this year and was just pulled up to play on the Varsity team for the CIF Game. I'm so proud of her and love love love her so very much!

A Pregnancy Ticker ?????

A Blessing is a Blessing is a Blessing ...
Corey and I are both very blessed to find out we are pregnant. We had talked about our future, our goals and the fact that we wanted kids in the very near future. Now, we thought soon after we got married we'd begin working on this dream of more kids. Well, needless to say we got our wish a little sooner then planned. I know that I tend to do things a lil' backwards or tend to have to learn things the hard way (which is usually my way) But I know that being a Mom is always something I've cherished. I've wanted more kids for soooooooo long. I am thankful for this little miracle and I am truely blessed that this little spirit choose Corey and I. We are excited ...

Can you say " Big Bear SNOW !!!! "

Back in January Corey and I went to the house in Big Bear. We had decided to leave a day early because we had gotten word of a storm coming in and the electricity was out because of the winds. BOY OH BOY ... was there ever a storm that came in. The pictures below tell the story of just how much snow Big Bear got ...

Now, to Corey who was born / raised / and lives in Utah this might not seem so bad. But for lil' Ms. Sunny California over here this is ALOT of snow and SUPER SUPER cold! Come to think of it ... to a few of you (Trisha from Colorado / Steph living in Washington) I might seem like a pansie. But this is what I'm use to ...

Building and the basics

I was on the Church website today and I was clicking on tabs. (BTW .. the new link for our youth is AWESOME) Anywhooooo ... I saw this cute chart for kids and thought to myself "I'm gonna do this today".

So a few scriptures later and an added scripture from Helaman 5:12 and I felt a whole helk of a lot better. I had kind of been feeling a little off today for some reason, but nothing like taking it down a few notches and simplifying. It was a great way to just read a few versus and gain some food for my soul ♥.
